Hilary hit up the LA Film Festival yesterday to catch the premiere of ‘The Wackness’, starring Josh Peck and Olivia Thirbly, who also star alongside Hilary in her upcoming movie ‘Safety Glass’.

After her successful turn as a Eurasian popstar in ‘War, Inc.’ Hilary Duff has signed on for a new film, ‘Stay Cool’, which sounds like it could be awesome.  Reuters reports:

Duff co-stars in “Cool” with Winona Ryder, Sean Astin, Chevy Chase and Jon Cryer. The project comes from filmmakers Mark and Michael Polish, and begins shooting next month.

It is described as a “knowing-your-age comedy,” centering on a successful author (Mark Polish) who is forced to confront an unrequited high school crush (Ryder) when he returns home to deliver a commencement address to graduating seniors.

Duff will portray a sexy high school senior who flirts with the visiting author and invites him to the prom.

The cast looks pretty stacked, so this should be a funny movie.  No word on a release date yet.

Ryan Tedder, lead singer of band OneRepublic, just did an interview over at Popjustice where he seems to think he is the second coming of Shakespeare.  Anyways, the article is long and annoying, so lets skip to the part where he talks about Hilary:

Oh God (guffaws) let’s not go there. Remember when I was talking about how I needed to make a living from songwriting? There you have it. Oh man, there’s some stuff… At a later date I will go on record… When I give less of a shit about certain people. I’d love to write a tell all book about certain artists and how little they care.

In case you didn’t know, Tedder wrote some songs for Hilary’s Dignity album.  He also writes songs for OneRepublic.  Giving them credit for writing deep, thought provoking songs would be as much as a travesty as giving Paris Hilton a Nobel Peace Prize.  Looks like Tedder missed the memo on that one.  And lets face it, the only reason they are successful is because Timbaland produces their stuff.  Timbaland could produce someone running their fingernails down a chalkboard and have it go multi-platinum.

Not content with simply shopping, Hilary swung by the pilates studio for a workout.  Given that California is battling triple digit temperatures right now, it’s nice to see her staying hydrated.  She also showcased her flawless taste by choosing orange Gatorade, which is a very underrated flavor.

These pictures are from June 20th, and they show Hilary being mobbed by photographers as she tries to do some shopping in Beverly Hills.  On one hand it’s a shame that she can’t get privacy, on the other hand we get these pictures.  Advantage: photographers.

Hilary made an appearance at Cartier’s 3rd Annual Loveday Celebration in LA yesterday.  She brought along her boyfriend Mike Comrie as well.  Anyways, she looks great and we have 26 HQ pictures for you to enjoy.
